Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our technology team and help ensure that our products are reliable, scalable, and deliver a seamless experience to our users. You will work closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, Designers, and other stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to investigate and reproduce reported issues.
• Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and product discussions.
• Validate new features before release; perform API testing and validate integrations.
• Conduct cross-platform and cross-browser testing where applicable.
• Maintain clear QA documentation, including test cases, results, and defect reports.
• Support release and deployment activities with pre- and post-release validation.
• Identify opportunities for test automation and continuous improvement; support root-cause analysis for production issues.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in Software Quality Control or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QC processes.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing and test case design.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman; familiarity with SQL and database validation.
• Experience with Jira; good understanding of Agile/Scrum.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

• Automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Experience testing web and mobile applications; performance, security, or accessibility testing.
