Senior Accountant

About the Role

Argaam is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior General Accountant with a minimum of 4 years of accounting experience. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of all accounting functions, excellent English communication skills, and experience working with multiple employers or organizations across different industries. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations and financial transactions.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and month-end/year-end closing activities.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Coordinate with auditors and support external and internal audit processes.
• Maintain proper financial records and documentation.
• Support management with financial insights and recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a General Accountant.
• Experience working with multiple companies/employers and exposure to different business environments.
• Strong understanding of general accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, budgeting and forecasting, taxation and compliance, and financial analysis.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• IFRS Certification/Holder is highly preferred.
• Experience in multinational or fast-paced business environments.
• Continuous learner with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail.
